Gekkeiju Online is a fantasy themed, 3D MMORPG with cute anime-styled graphics. The game needs a little more polishing but even now it is awesome and fun.
Gekkeiju Online offers nine playable races:

• Humans

• Dark Elves
• Halflings
• Dwarves
• Half-giants
• Goblins
• Catfolk

The game has five character classes – warrior, magic user, commoner, divine artist and dark artist. The character development is a little strange – I haven’t met similar system in any other MMO game.
Also levels aren’t obtained automatically but players need to purchase their next level from a training NPC with the collected experience. For the first ten levels your character will learn its skills and spells as it advances. After level 10 you will need to join a guild.

Last Chaos – awesome MMORPG game

Last Chaos is a free-to-play, 3D MMORPG with cool graphics and nice gameplay. The game looks incredibly similar to the popular pay to play MMORPG Lineage 2. More or less most of the free to play MMORPGs have problems with its gameplay. They sure look good but after some time the player finds no depth. In contrast, Last Chaos doesn’t have awesome graphics but its gameplay is ways above. I really was amazed to find myself addicted to a game so fast. 

Graphics
The game has somewhat beautiful graphics with large castles, vast territories and strange monsters. There are also a lot of different pets and mounts with bright and cool graphics, they create part of the magic atmosphere in the game. The horses maybe are a bit to colorful but the overall impression isn’t bad.

Gameplay
One drawback of this cool game is the poor customization options of the game characters. I really prefer to have bigger choice.
When I play MMO games I prefer to play magic damage dealer so I created a mage character. At the beginning my mage was thrown in something called private dungeon – there you can fight different monsters (zombies and similar) and learn the interface. At the end of the dungeon I was teleported to the first town. What made me an impression was that the game has good number of players – many players were selling different goods and some number of newbies like me was fighting low level monsters outside the gates. There were also many players leveling their pets with low level mobs. The pets are something cool – with many different shapes and colors – not your usual stupid (or cute) looking pets but fantasy creatures with nice and eye-catching design.
The monsters also make an impression – they are not grouped by types and you can see many different kinds in one field. The foxes at the beginning look too much like the keltirs from L2.
The game offers large maps with many places for exploration and different mobs. You are actually free to do what you want, you are not bound to different quests like “run to point A, return to B, then run back to A”. Of course you can do quests as you want and they bring a lot of experience (I usually go and take all available quests before hunting but I don’t like to do quests only).

Classes
Last Chaos has six playable races – Knight, Healer, Mage, Rogue, Titan and Sorcerer.
Knight - The knight is your usual tough guy with sword and shield or two swords.
Healer – She is a surprise, she actually can use bow and arrows and she can become an archer or a cleric at her first job change.
Mage – I like characters with high damage, especially high AoE damage.
Rogue – fast and deadly character she can use dual daggers or a crossbow.
Titan – rough guy with high HP and sword or axe of course. Do you like barbarians? My brother always plays this type of characters.
Sorcerer – something like summoner, maybe strong character. I need to try this one soon.

PVP
I haven’t tried it yet, my character is brand new, but I prefer to play on PVP servers. I was surprised to see a bunch of high level, bored people at the town gates in the middle of PVP battle.

The story
Actually I spent some time reading the story – war between gods of course. Good against evil, light against darkness and we, the humans were always the good ones, blessed with many abilities. Now you can choose a side and fight for it. So cool, I wonder who writes these stories and why game creators or publishers won’t hire a professional writer to do the job. Either way, the game is cool, maybe the best free to play game out there.

Visual Utopia – browser-based, strategy MMO

Visual Utopia (VU) is a free to play, strategy MMO game. It is a nice, browser-based adventure with many fun points.

The player takes the role of a ruler to develop and defend his land. At the beginning new players start in a tutorial mode, where you can learn the basics of the game. This MMO have some of the standard features of the genre – you can build structures, train soldiers, send them on missions, join forces with other rulers.

Mytheon is a MMORPG game under development by Petroglyph Games. The creators promise an exciting action-RPG in a mythology-based universe.

The events behind the Mytheon story are based loosely on Greece and Egypt mythology. After many centuries on the mercy of the gods, mankind finally has the chance to prove itself.

The gameplay will combine strategic elements with standard MMORPG play style. The action in Mytheon will revolve around the “Power Stones”. They are collectable items that can be used for summoning creatures or structures and casting magic. Additionally players will have the opportunity to craft rare power stones through the help of arcane recipes.

The game will offer three playable classes: Warcaster, Elementalist and Eidolon.
Warcasters have the largest selection of creatures in battle but also the least amount of healing potential.
The Elementalists are descendants of sorcerers, oracles and mystics. They posses the ability to command the forces of Air, Earth, Fire and Water. They use mainly spell stones. Their vulnerability is their lack of companion stones.
The Eidolons are an order of warrior-priests from Egypt. They have stones to create structures, dispel magic, enhance and heal.

Warrior Epic is an action, 3D, fantasy MMORPG with not so usual gameplay. Players can lead an army of warriors through solo, PvP, or multiplayer adventures.

The game lacks the standard, persistent world used by must of the MMORPG games. It has a lobby, where players create and host games; team up with other players to fight in missions.

At the beginning you can play an easy, tutorial mission to grasp the controls and the gameplay.

The first chapter starts with six possible classes and later players unlock much more. Starting classes are: Assassin, Devotress, Dungeon Archer, Illusionist, Pangolan, and Pit Fighter.
New players start with Pit Fighter – somewhat boring character, relying on brute force and close combat.

Each player has his own hall, where he can requite and equip warriors, prepare battle strategies. The halls are customizable, you can add more rooms, and artifacts.

Metin2 is a MMORPG in an oriental style. It is a free to play and download game with Asian sceneries, cool warriors, powerful magicians and frightening martial artists.

Graphics and impression
The game features beautiful scenery graphics and the characters and mobs animations are relatively good. (There are some MMORPG with very poor animation of walking and fighting). The characters are not very customizable – you can’t choose anything but class and gender. The fighting animations are pretty cool – your character moves and fights making impression of a dance.

Gameplay
The game has a lot of missions. You can start doing quests right from the beginning. At level 5 you can choose your specialization for skills and weapons.

Mobs fight in groups, at high levels you will encounter aggressive mobs that attack you on sight. All classes can do area of effect (AoE) damage and the low levels are relatively easy. Leveling up is fast and fun. The quests give a lot of money, experience and bonuses so they worth their time.

PVP
You can join or create a guild and participate in Guild Fights. Any guild can take possession of one of the strongholds, hire and train NPCs to guard it.
Standard or non-standard PVP is available from level 15. You can ask people for Duel, fight players from another empire or select the "free" option from the PVP menu. The free option allows you to attack and to be attacked by any character in the game.

Classes

• Warrior – melee character with heavy armor and a lot of strength. At level 5 they can specialize for better attack and speed or better deffence.
• Ninja – high dexterity characters with light armor. Ninjas can specialize with bows or daggers. I am not sure why this class is called ninja not thief (it is like any other thief character in most of the MMORPGs.)
• Sura – they combines long range magic with close range sword fight. At level 5 they can choose to specialize their long range spells or develop their close range fighting abilities.
• Shaman – the magic users. A shaman can choose to be a support character with healing and buff spells or damage dealer with attack spells.

Empires
In Metin2 the player meets a conflict between tree empires: Chunjo Empire, Shinsoo Empire and Jinno Empire. They fight for the domination over the continent, honor, glory and in-game bonuses.



Overall Impression
Metin2 is awesome MMORPG. Yes, there is some grinding but the game has a lot of quest and you can minimize it a lot.

Florensia – first impression

Florensia is a fantasy, 3D, sea and land MMOG, free to play and download.

Explorer

The world of Florensia is consisted of several islands and a huge ocean. You can fight land battles and grow your character on the land or go and fight sea battles, construct your ship and hire your crew. Land gameplay is your average MMORPG gameplay - the character attacks mobs, gets experience, learn skill and so on.
Leveling up is available for sea and land battles separately. Your land level won’t affect your sea level.

Noble fighting.

At the beginning the game meets you with long tutorial screens but believe me you’ll need to know what you are doing. The land battles are somewhat alike many other MMORPGs but the sea battle is a way different. You need to know how to assemble a ship. You also need to know how to repair it and how to hire a crew. I recommend you to do all beginning quests and carefully read the tutorial.

To assemble a ship you need to talk to dockyard owner NPC.

Sea battles at the beginning feel a little strange. It is not your usual type of game. Sea navigation is somewhat hard but it is a great adventure. I don’t like the Torpedo ship anyway.

You can use five different ship types - Armored Ship, Big Gun Ship, Assault Ship, Torpedo Ship or Maintenance Ship.

Florensia has four starting classes – Explorer, Mercenary, Noble and Saint. At level 40 you can start a class change quest.

Explorer – Uses mainly gun-type weapons. He can also use sword. Explorers have limited defense powers and can’t use heavy armors. At level 40 can become Snipers or Excavators.
Mercenary – mercenaries use swords (of course). They have high strength, high constitution and high defense powers. Mercenaries are weak against magical attack. At level 40 they can become Gladiators or Guardian Swordsmans.
Noble - nobles are the magic users in Florensia. They have AoE (area of effect) damage spells and weak defense. At level 40 they can become Magic Knights or Magicians.
Saint – The Saint is the game healer. At level 40 he or she can become Priest or Shaman.

You can make a choice – to be a pirate or to join the Royal army but I haven’t tried this yet.

This week I start to play new MMO – GodsWar Online. GWO is a cute-looking 3D MMORPG by IGG. It is based on ancient Greek mythology.


Classes
GodsWar Online has four classes – Warrior, Champion, Priest and Mage. Warriors use sword and shield. They are experts in the close fight. Champions use spear. They are attack oriented characters. Priests are the party’s healers. Mages – the standard mage character dealing large amount of damage.

Gameplay
The gameplay of GWO is a lot alike many other 3D mmorpg – it uses standard point and click for movements and fight. GodsWar Online is relatively fast and easy for leveling up.
GodsWar Online has auto attack mode(F12) so players can skip the boring leveling up or long quests. A character becomes a killing machine with the auto attack settings.
GWO has two factions – Sparta and Athens.

The game has many quests. Right from the beginning, the quests are the best way for earning experience and leveling up.

Free To Play MMORPG

Sho Online is a cool, 3D MMORPG in traditional Chinese style by Lizard Interactive. This game totally fascinates with its graphics, gameplay and idea. When I first start to play it I spent six hours without even realizing it.


Story and gameplay
In the world of Sho Online two dynasties are fighting each other. Players can choose only one of them for all their characters.
Yin is one of the countries from the conflict. I can’t tell the Chinese story well, all this names are too strange for me. The main part is that Yin is the older dynasty with initial location – Jo-ga Castle.
Zhou is the other country. It became the new power of the continent. Its initial location is the Castle Seo-ki.
All characters, NPC and monsters in Sho Online belong to a fraction. There are seven fractions – Yin, Zhou, Yo-koi, Ark-kui, Ark-soo, Yinbiyin, Ka-kuk. Characters have a relation stats window showing the relation with all the fractions. The relations change according to who you choose to kill. There are bonuses if a character is in good relation with a fraction.

War
The game is based on the war between Yin and Zhou. The war starts with the assassination of the enemy governor general NPC. Players fight in a mass pvp for the glory of their dynasty.

Characters
Sho Online has three starting character types – assassin, warrior and soolsa.
Assassins rely mainly on speed and agility. They use daggers and bows for fighting and they can advance as archers or dagger masters at level ten.
Warriors rely on their physical strength. Their weapons are spears and axes. At level ten they can choose to become Adamantors or Demon Knights.
Soolsa are equivalent of mages in other mmorpgs. They use fans and staffs. At level 10 Soolsa can change its profession to Dark Soolsa or Taoistic Priest. Dark Soolsa are damage dealers with powerful magic attack and curses.Taoistic Priests can also attack enemies with magic but they are also healers and buffers. Both Soolsa professions can create monsters.

Wonderland Online (WLO) is a fantasy MMORPG published by IGG. It features cute anime graphics combined with old style RPG battles.



Story
The action starts on the luxury cruise ship Oceanic Star. The ship wrecks and the character is thrown on an isolated island where the adventure begins!





Characters
Character creation is a lot alike any other MMORPG. The characters are customizable, players can allocate 5 stat points between STR, CON, WIS, INT and AGI. For different characters players can choose from different attributes like fire, water, wind and earth.




Battles/PVE
The battles surprised me a lot. They are something that differs Wonderland Online. The battles occur in a separate screen/field and they are turn based. Quite surprising for a MMORPG.





Decoration
Players can obtain a tent after finishing a quest. The tent then becomes the player's home. One can decorate it with furniture, rest and invite friends.
